Gamers2 win GamePlan Pro League

The Polish outfit defeated x6tence in a best-of-five grand final to win the GamePlan Pro League and take home $1,250, winning 3-1 with the final map scores being: 16-11 on de_cache, 14-16 on de_mirage, 16-12 on de_overpass and 16-13 on de_train.

The GamePlan Pro League offered teams with less exposure a chance to compete in an online tournament with $2,000 on the line.

16 teams total were split into two groups and commenced round-of-robin matches on the 1st of March in a best-of-one format. Eventually, favourites such as PiTER, CPLAY, ex-Orbit, x6tence and Gamers2, among others, moved forward to the playoffs.

Gamers2 actually met x6tence in the upper final of the tournament, however they forfeited their match due to other time commitments which meant the Polish team had to defeat the Hungarian TRICKED squad in the consolidation final to claw their way back.

Gamers2's newest addition MICHU put up a 1.25 rating in the grand final

With x6tence possessing a veto advantage in the grand final (as opposed to the more standard one-map advantage for teams winning the upper bracket), both teams would have to win three maps in order to become champions.

Despite all four played maps being extremely close, with de_cache possessing the highest round differential (5 rounds), it wound up being Gamers2 who emerged victorious among two evenly matched opponents.

The final prize-pool distribution is:

1. PolandGamers2 - $1,250
2. Spainx6tence - $500
3. HungaryTRICKED - $250

The most recent addition to the team, Michał "MICHU" Müller, as well as Paweł "innocent" Mocek were instrumental in helping the Polish side defeat the Spaniards in the series.
